Care Instructions
- It is ideal to keep the jewelry away from moisture and store in an airtight box (with the silica gel pouch that is sent with your order). Non-electroplated metal jewellery oxidises and darkens/dulls over time, developing a patina.
- It can be easily returned to it’s original lustre with the use of regular silver polish. Alternately, you may use granny's earth-friendly, sustainable option of lightly scrubbing it with a lemon (avoid places where dar oxide has been used) cleaning it under running water and pat drying with soft cotton cloth. We advise the latter.
Metal
- Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. While there are various alloys of brass available, we use the one with minimum quantity of zinc. Silver used is 925, sterling. Chicory Chai jewelry is not electroplated and brass may leave marks on the skin, if your skin is clinically proven sensitive. Though these are not harmful, we recommend you choose silver.
- Pure metals will always react with atmospheric changes and darken in high humidity areas, unless they are chemically treated on the surface. Please follow our 'care' instructions to bring your jewelry back to shine :)
